SEPTEMBER 9, 2025 / FORT SASKATCHEWAN, AB – PlasCred Circular Innovations received $5 million from Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) to support its first commercial-scale plastics-to-liquids facility, Neos, at CN’s Scotford Yard in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland. Building on this momentum, the company also secured a non-binding term sheet from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) for up to $8.5 million in senior debt financing, covering more than half of the $25 million project cost.
The Neos facility will process 100 tonnes of post-consumer plastic per day, producing 500 barrels of low-carbon circular naphtha for virgin plastic production. Once operational, it is expected to divert 36,500 tonnes of plastic waste annually and reduce 51,000 tonnes of CO₂e emissions. A five-year offtake agreement will ensure a stable revenue stream.
Neos is designed for modular expansion, forming the foundation for a larger facility, which could scale up to 2,000 tonnes per day. Integrated AI monitoring will track operations, emissions, and lifecycle impact, supporting Alberta’s leadership in circular plastics.
